Here is how to straighten hair: ·        Shampoo your hair, apply your favorite hair conditioner and then towel-dry it. Then, apply a heat protectant product to your hair all the way to the ends.

·        Place a quarter-size dollop of the hair-straightening product into the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together to spread the product evenly over your hands, then massage it evenly through your hair.

·        To remove the excess water from your hair, run your fingers through your hair while at the same time gently blow-dry it on a low setting.

·        Now, part your hair into three sections, the two sides and  the back. Clip the two sides to the top of your head so that the hair is out of your way.

·        Select a small portion of the hair from the unclipped section of the back to straighten.  Pin the rest of the hair in the back up and out of your way.

·        Using a thick, round brush and beginning at the roots, gently pull the brush through the hair to the ends while blow-drying it. Pull the hair away from your head, stretching and straightening it as you go.

·        Pull the brush through the underside of your hair first so that you expose it directly to the heat of the dryer. Once that area is mostly dry, then you can work on the top of the hair.

·        Keep the tension on the hair consistent as you work with it and try to distribute the heat evenly over the section of hair you're working on. This prevents over-drying  and helps get uniform hair texture.  Continue working around the head, section by section in the same manner.
